I have had hyperactive thyroid for a couple of years. In February 2006 I was rushed to hospital as an emergency because of the rapid and irregular beating of my heart. I was told that I was at risk of a heart attack or a stroke. Eventually I was allowed home under heavy medication including beta blockers and warfarin to thin my blood with nurses visiting me morning and evening. I called Patricia whom I had visited for massage sessions who came to my home. She suggested a session of Reiki healing which felt very relaxing and soothing. Well after that I seemed to pick up – my energy returned and most importantly the will to get well. Within a few weeks I had come off the beta blockers and warfarin and other medications, leaving me only one type for hyperthyroidism. The doctors were taken by surprise at my speedy recovery and since then my whole life has changed beyond belief.
